List of supported beacon UUID's

Robin supports any kind of beacon that allows you to change the UUID. The UUID is a unique broadcasting number which allows Robin to know which types of beacons to look for. You can think of it like tuning to a radio station.

Today, Robin's mobile app looks for a few different UUID's by default. Use any of them with your existing beacons to enable them with Robin.

  1. Robin (Use this by default) 44F77920-EBF9-11E3-AC10-0800200C9A66
  2. Estimote  B9407F30-F5F8-466E-AFF9-25556B57FE6D

Can I use my own UUID?

Unfortunately iOS apps are restricted in the number of UUID's they can scan for at a time. By keeping a short list, we're able to be effective without missing custom beacons.

If you are a beacon manufacturer (or have a large existing beacon deployment) we are generally able to work with your team to add compatibility.
