Early access program: set up parking & lockers

Use the Layout tool in the web dashboard to arrange and configure bookable resources, such as desks, spaces, parking spots, and lockers for your workplace.

In this guide, we will outline how to set up parking and lockers using the latest version of the Layout tool available for organizations in the early access program. For steps on how to set up desks and spaces, refer to these guides:

Set up parking and lockers

  1. To access the Layout tool, select the Office page in the top ribbon of the web dashboard.
  2. Select Edit floor in the right corner of the map.
  3. Select Layout.
  4. In the left panel, select either the parking and/or lockers menu.  The setup process is the same for both resources.
  5. Select a template and click where you want it to live on the map.
  6. Use the menu on the right to add the resource details, settings, and policies. Note, custom resource settings apply to the resource group & cannot be applied to an individual resource.
  7. Use the default resource names or add your own. (e.g., Locker 1, Locker 2).
  8. You can upload an image of the resource to give users a visual reference while booking it.
  9. Add the resource details:
    • (Optional) Apply a sub-category:
      • A sub-category provides additional details to classify the resource further. For example, if the category is "laptops," sub-categories could include Mac or PC.
    • (Optional) Create and add amenities:
      • Amenities are specific features or functionalities included with the resource, such as a monitor, Wi-Fi, wheelchair accessibility, power outlets, and more that are available for that resource.
    • Set the capacity
    • Is it handicap accessible?
    • Is the resource reservable? Set a general booking type or a booking type by the day of the week:
    • Add any helpful notes
  10. Configure scheduling policies for the resource:
    • Set the maximum amount of time a person can reserve the resource with the Max Booking Length setting.
    • Set how far in advance the resource can be reserved with the Advanced Booking Threshold.
    • Toggle on the "Restrict to working hours" setting if the resource can only be reserved during set office hours.
    • Require employees to confirm they're using the resource they reserved.
    • Use the Abandoned Resource protection setting to automatically cancel advanced resource bookings if no one checks in after a set amount of time has passed.
    • Use the Advanced check-in window to set how far in advance a booking can be confirmed.
