Editing your Robin Maps

This guide assumes that you already:

  • Submitted floor plans to your Account Manager and the converted Maps have been successfully uploaded to your Robin account.
  • Created floors in Robin to assign your map to the corresponding floor. 
  • Created spaces in Robin and now you're ready to place them on the map. 
  • Created desk pods or tables in Robin & now you're ready to arrange them on the map. Follow this guide if you still need to set up desks. 

The video below walks through how to edit map space layers in just a few minutes. Editing for Desks is a very similar process. 

Adding spaces and desk groups

Navigate to Map in the Dashboard toolbar. Go to Manage Maps.


Select a Level from the dropdown menu in the left toolbar. 



Select Filter and check that Spaces (and/or desks) are visible. 


Select an existing space (or desk group) from the left toolbar then drag and drop it over to the desired spot on the map.
  • For spaces, adjust the size and shape of the space as needed. 
    • If the space has more than 4 walls, use the blue dots to add more walls to the space (see image below). 


  • For Desks, select the arrow icon to rotate the desk group and adjust the corner of the desk group to resize it. 
    • Rotating can be done in 15-degree increments by holding shift.
    • When the desk group is in the right place, select the check mark to save it.


After you've placed all of your spaces (and/or desks) for this floor on the map, select Finish editing.

Editing or deleting spaces & desks on the Map

To make changes, navigate to Map in the top toolbar and select Manage Maps in the left toolbar.

  • For Spaces, click on the space you've placed on the map you wish to edit. Then adjust the shape of the space as needed or select Remove to remove it from your map.
  • For Desks, click on the desk group you wish to make changes to then:
    • Drag the desk group to a different location.
    • Resize the group by adjusting the corners.
    • Rotate the desk group by using the arrow icon.
    • Select Remove to delete the desk group from the map. 
    • Select the x icon to cancel any changes or the checkmark icon to save changes.
