You can book a parking spot, locker or other resource for someone else from the office map when your role has the Book and Delegate permissions for that resource type. Parking spots and lockers are in Robin's early access program. If your organization does not offer parking spot and locker reservations in addition to desks and spaces, your office map can look a little different.
Book a resource for someone else
-
In the web dashboard, select Map.
-
Set the reservation search criteria in the menu at the top. To add filters for a resource type, use the resource icons.
In this example, the search is for a parking spot for a range of days (5/27–5/30).
-
Select a resource on the map to book it. You see a menu on the right with the resource details.
-
Review the reservation date, time and booking policies.
-
Select Book for....
-
Search for the person you book for, and select their name. You can book for someone else only if they have a Robin user account.
For desks only, you can also book for a guest: enter their email address. You cannot book a parking spot, locker or custom resource for a guest. Know these limits: when you add a guest's email address as a visitor, or book or assign a desk with it, Robin does not automatically add the guest as a Robin member. The guest cannot sign in, so they cannot check in. The guest's name does not show on the desk, in people searches or in the Who's in list, because Robin has only their email address. Use the Visits log to track office guests.
-
Select Book. You see a confirmation message and the reservation details in the panel on the right.
When you book a parking spot, locker or other resource for someone else, Robin does not send an email confirmation, and you cannot make the reservation private. When you book a desk for someone else, you can send an email notification, and you can make the reservation private if your organization allows private reservations.
