Microsoft Intune for the Robin mobile app

With Microsoft Intune, admins can provision the Robin mobile app to their users. Intune also protects the organization data the app uses, on managed or unmanaged devices.

In Microsoft Intune, admins can set protections that the Robin mobile app enforces. For example, you can require a PIN code for access, prevent copying or sharing of data, or remotely wipe the data from a lost device.

• Decreases the risk of employees using an app they have not used before, and applies the protection policies.
• Controls what actions a user can do in the app.
• Limits the security risk of the app accessing company data.
• Decreases the risk of third-party app installations in your Microsoft 365 domain.

Admin configuration

Contact the Robin support team to confirm your eligibility for Intune and turn it on in your account. Then use the Azure admin and Microsoft Intune consoles to set the policies you want to enforce.

Open the Robin (SSO & Service Accounts) enterprise application. Select the blue Grant admin consent button to grant admin consent to "Microsoft Mobile Application Management" and "DeviceManagementManagedApps.ReadWrite".

Make sure an App Protection Policy exists for Android & iOS. The policy must include:

• com.robinpowered.compass as a custom app.
• A group that contains the users you want to use Intune with Robin.

How it works for employees

Any Robin user who has a Microsoft Intune license can use this feature. Microsoft sells and manages the license.

When users open the Robin mobile app, it asks them to log in. When they select "Continue with Microsoft", the Intune enrollment process starts.

After the Robin app enrolls with Intune, Robin prompts iOS users to restart the app. Android users do not have to, because the app restarts automatically.
