Custom Resources Dashboard

Requires: View Analytics Permission

Beyond desks and spaces, teams book a wide range of resources at the office, from parking spots and lockers to shared equipment like 3D printers, lab benches, and bikes. The Custom Resources dashboard gives office admins a single view of what custom resources exist across the organization and how heavily each type is being used, so you can right-size inventory and plan for demand.

To access the dashboard:

1. Select the Analytics tab in the web dashboard.

2. Select Custom Resources in the left panel.

The dashboard reads from your custom resource inventory and reservation data, and updates as filters are applied. We've highlighted some key questions this dashboard can help answer:

  • Which resource types are reserved most often across the organization?
  • Do I have enough parking spots or lockers to meet demand over the next week?
  • What custom resources exist at a specific campus, building, or floor, and what is their capacity?
  • Which resource types are underused and could be reduced or reallocated?
  • How does booking demand for a resource type change day to day

Filters

Use the filters at the top of the dashboard to narrow every component below to a specific time period and set of resources. Filters apply to all charts and tables on the page.

  • Date Range: Set the reporting window for the inventory and booking data shown below.

  • Campus: Filter to one or more campuses.

  • Building: Filter to one or more buildings within the selected campus.

  • Resource Type: Filter to specific resource types, such as Parking spots, Lockers, or 3D Printers.

  • Resource Subtype: Narrow further by subtype where one exists, such as Standard or Electric vehicle (EV) parking.

Custom Resource Inventory

Each row is a single resource. Columns include Resource Type, Resource Subtype, Resource Name, Campus, Building, Floor, Resource Group, Resource Note, and Capacity.

  • Use the column menus to sort or filter the table, for example to list every parking spot in a single building.

  • Capacity reflects how many people can book each resource at once. Most custom resources have a capacity of 1.

  • The row count at the bottom of the table shows how many resources match the current filters.

Most Reserved Resource Type

Shows which resource types make up the largest share of reservations in the selected period, so you can see where booking activity is concentrated.

  • Each slice represents one resource type's share of total reservations across all custom resources in scope.

  • Hover over a slice to see the resource type and its exact share.

  • Use the legend to identify each resource type by color. Types with no reservations in the period do not appear in the pie.

Percent Booked by Resource Type

Shows how heavily each resource type is used relative to how much of that type exists, so you can compare demand across types on a like-for-like basis.
