Automatic room check-in with Neat Pulse

Robin uses the people count from your Neat devices to see when a meeting room is occupied. When it is, Robin confirms the room's meeting. Nobody has to check in on the room display.

Before you start

  • You need admin access in Robin.
  • Your Neat devices must be enrolled in Neat Pulse.
  • Each room needs a Neat device that counts people. Rooms that report no people count are skipped.

Step 1: Connect Neat Pulse

  1. Go to Manage > Integrations.
  2. Find Neat Pulse and select Connect.
  3. Enter your Neat Pulse details and select Connect.

Step 2: Map your rooms

Robin lists your Neat rooms and suggests the matching room in Robin by name. Check each match, fix the wrong ones and select Save. A match you set yourself always wins over a suggestion.

Step 3: Turn on room check-in

Both of these settings are off by default. Turn on both for each building:

  1. On the Neat Pulse integration page, add the building to Enable auto-checkins.
  2. Go to Manage > Offices, select the building, open the Check-in tab and turn on Automatic meeting confirmation.

How it works

  • Robin reads the people count from Neat Pulse every 5 minutes. It only uses a count from the last 10 minutes.
  • When the count is 1 or more, Robin confirms the meeting in progress. If no meeting is in progress, Robin confirms the next meeting, if it starts inside the meeting check-in window.
  • If someone already checked in, nothing changes.
  • A confirmed meeting is not released by abandoned meeting protection.
