Requirements
- Purchased via Rippling App Shop
- Global Robin Admin
Set up the Robin and Rippling integration to bring your Rippling employee data into Robin. It automates the in-office experience for your hybrid employees.
Benefits
The integration syncs groups, work locations and user accounts from Rippling.
Manage Robin groups with Rippling groups
The groups you manage in Rippling transfer to Robin. Rippling and Robin keep the same data structure, so you have more time for your workplace.
Synced work locations
Employees' work locations sync from Rippling to Robin. You do not need to set up and assign office locations in Robin by hand. The groups you manage in Rippling also transfer to Robin automatically.
User provisioning
Set up Robin accounts in Rippling, so new employees are ready on their first day in the office. For extra security, use single sign-on: employees use their Rippling credentials to access their Robin account.
Set up Robin + Rippling
The setup has 3 parts:
Part 1: Rippling setup
- In Rippling, go to the Facilities page and find the Robin Powered integration.
- Select Connect account.
- Select "I'm the Robin Powered admin, I'll install it." To connect Robin Powered to Rippling, you must be the admin for your company's Robin Powered account.
- Review the app access rules and select Authorize.
- Choose who automatically gets access to Robin Powered when they join Robin Powered, and select Continue.
- Choose when users get access to Robin Powered, and select Continue.
Next, connect your Rippling account to Robin.
Part 2: Connect Rippling to Robin
- Robin should open the Rippling integration connection page, automatically or after you log in.
- Agree to the privacy policy & terms of service, then select Get started. Robin starts to sync your user and building data from Rippling.
-
Review your building information. Fill in any missing details to make sure it is correct, then select Looks good.
-
While Robin syncs your data, return to Rippling to finish setting up your account. Select Continue > Finish set up in Rippling.
- If you buy through Rippling, you see an "Add a payment method" step. Add a payment method now, or skip it and add it when your trial period ends. If you are an existing Robin customer, skip this step.
-
Select Finish set up in Rippling to complete your account setup.
Part 3: Return to Rippling to complete the Robin app setup
-
After you connect your accounts, you can set up single sign-on (SSO) for Robin, or go to the overview page.
With SSO, your employees log in to Robin with one click. Before setting up SSO note the following:
- Invite employees to Rippling before you turn on the SSO integration. The SSO integration automatically turns off login with a username and password.
- Employees who have access to Robin lose it until they create a Rippling account.
-
Decide if you want to let other people in Robin sign in to the Robin admin account. This keeps access to admin features in one place across 3rd-party apps.
-
If you have no group attributes set up, create them now or select "Continue" to skip to the next step.
Robin recommends that you test the connection: log in to Robin through Rippling with "Connect via Rippling." Or select Continue to skip.
After you confirm the connection works, select Visit the app to open it.

Things to know about groups
