Use this guide to set granular permissions for parking, lockers, or any custom resources configured in your Robin instance.
Example use case: Restrict specific parking spot(s) to a person or role
Audience: Admins who manage roles, resources, and access controls
Prerequisites
You can view and edit Roles and Permissions.
You know the resource path for the spot(s): Campus → Building → Level → Resource Group → Spot.
Step-by-step
Goal: Only members of Role X can reserve Parking Spot(s) Y.
Open Roles: Go to Manage → Roles and select Role X.
In Role Details → Permissions, navigate to Resources
Select "Specify buildings" under the Parking Spots header
Add narrow allow(s):
Navigate down to the exact scope you intend to allow:
For a specific spot: select the individual Parking Spot.
For a group of spots: select the Resource pod.
Click Add
