What improved

- You can book anything, including desks, spaces, parking, lockers and custom resources.
- An improved date picker that better supports multiple-day bookings.

- A sidebar replaces the pop-over, for better navigation.
Employee experience
For employees, the office map changed in these ways:
- Employees can book parking, lockers, desks, spaces and custom resources unique to your workplace.
- The date picker has tabs at the top to choose single, multi-day or date-range bookings, depending on your workplace policies.
- Improved zoom levels help employees orient themselves on the map and see where their booked resource is. You can zoom in on neighborhood labels for a better view of the resources in that work area.
- A clearer reservation end-time drop-down menu.
- Quick access to the office you visited most recently.
- An at-a-glance view of all avatars, to see who sits where.
- No pop-over modals block the employee's view. The right sidebar menu handles all desk and space booking actions.
- A quick way to change the date of multi-day desk bookings.
Upgraded Who's in list
The Who's in list shows who is in the office on any day, without searching the map.
- To open the list view, select the People card in the right-hand sidebar.
- Coworkers are grouped by status: Confirmed in-office, Remote confirmed and Scheduled. In each group, favorites appear first.
- The list shows each person's avatar, name and booking time. If they have no desk booked, you see "No desk".
- Select someone's name or avatar to go to their desk on the map and see the booking details.
Admin experience
For admins, the office map changed in these ways:
- Admins manage resource assignments directly from the office map, with a smoother workflow. Manage all assignments for custom resources from the map view in the web dashboard.
- All actions take place in the right sidebar menu. It shows everything admins need to know about the resource, such as assignments and reservations for the week and booking policies. No pop-over modules block the view.
Common questions
Does the new map work on web and mobile?
Yes. The web dashboard and the mobile app use the same map, so it works the same way on both.
Do I need to turn anything on?
No. The Map tab shows the new map. Navigation and booking work much as before.
