This guide is intended for Essentials & Business plan customers.
Your map is the live view of your office that everyone books from. You have three ways to get one setup in Robin.
Option 1: Upload a CAD drawing (.dxf file) [fastest option]
If you have a CAD drawing (.dxf file) of your office floor plan, let Robin trace it for you in seconds.
- When prompted to add a floor plan, choose Draw a map from a CAD file.
- Upload your file. It must be a .dxf, under 30MB and one floor at a time.
- Robin detects the best layers automatically. Confirm or adjust which layers to use.
- Review the traced map in the editor and make any final fixes.
- Save, then publish.
Do not add desks or furnishings in this step. You will place those in the Layout tool on the next step.
Option 2: Draw it yourself
Good for simple, one or two floor offices. Select Draw a custom map from the options and build out your walls and rooms directly in Robin. You can publish it the moment it looks right. Do not add desks or furnishings in this step. You will place those in the Layout tool on the next step.
Option 3: Send it to Robin's maps team
Want us to do it? Send your floor plan and we will build the map for you.
- Select Have Robin draw your map
- Drag and drop your file, or browse to attach it. Use a PDF, JPG or PNG under 25MB.
- Add notes if anything needs explaining.
- Click Create floors to upload and send it to us.
Our team converts your plan and emails you when the map is live on your account, usually within 2 to 3 business days.
Ready to proceed
Once your map is published and assigned to a floor, you are ready to start adding bookable resources. You can edit your map anytime in the map editor.
