Check in to meetings

Robin gives you several ways to confirm, check in to or delete meetings shortly before they start. This keeps everyone informed about meeting schedules. In-app reminders and room display cues help you do it.

Check-in methods

You can check in from the web dashboard, the room display, the mobile app, Slack, Teams or email.

From the web dashboard

You can check in to a meeting on the Schedule page. Find your meeting in one of the schedule views (Workweek, My Meetings or Meeting Rooms) and open the action menu to check in.

In the mobile app

  1. Open the mobile app.
  2. Select the calendar icon at the top right to find your upcoming events.
  3. If you are within the event confirmation window, check in to confirm the event.

In Slack

You get a reminder in Slack to confirm your event for that meeting space if you are the meeting organizer and you have the "Unconfirmed event" Slack notification setting turned on in your Robin user settings.

In Teams

You get a Teams notification for every upcoming event. If you are the organizer and the event is attached to a space, you also see an option to confirm.

By email

You get an email reminder for any upcoming unconfirmed event if you turn on the "Unconfirmed event" email notification setting in your user settings.

Meeting check-ins and Abandoned Meeting Protection

If your office uses abandoned meeting protection, 2 types of meetings do not need confirmation. Robin does not remove them from the room's schedule automatically:

  • Meetings of 8 hours or more (all-day events).
  • Meetings booked within your confirmation window, including impromptu meetings on the room display. Robin confirms these automatically because they fall inside the confirmation window.
