Get Robin notifications in Slack to stay on top of your reservations and your schedule. This article shows how to set your notification preferences, with examples of Robin notifications in Slack.
Before you start
You need:
- Slack Pro, Business+, or Slack Enterprise Grid account.
- An admin installed the Robin app in your organization's Slack workspace.
- You connected your Robin user account with your Slack account.
Set your notification preferences
Choose which notifications you get from Robin in Slack. You manage your personal notifications in your user settings.
Go to your Avatar > User settings > Notifications.
Types of notifications
Robin sends these types of notifications in Slack.
Desk check-ins
You can check in or release your desk reservation in Slack. It looks like this:
Meeting rooms & events
Robin sends 3 types of Slack notifications for your meetings and events.

When you attend a meeting, you get a reminder message in Slack 5-10 minutes before it starts.

When you organize the meeting, you get a reminder to confirm your event for that meeting space. This reminder helps if your office enforces Abandoned Meeting Protection.

If Robin cancels your meeting automatically because no one confirmed or checked in, Robin tells you. This applies only to offices that enforce the Abandoned Meeting Protection feature.
Guest arrival notifications for the host
If you host an office visitor, Slack notifies you in real time when your guest arrives, so you can meet them.
Robin also notifies you if your guest fails an office visitor requirement your office has (such as a health checkpoint). A failed requirement automatically cancels the visit.
