Set up custom colors for the room display

Requirements

  • Rooms app version 4.1.2 +

Customize the colors on your room display to match your company's branding, or remove the "booked" state completely. By default, Robin uses red, yellow and green to show a room's status.

Customize colors for the room display

Admins set custom colors in the web dashboard.

  1. Go to Manage > Themes & customization > scroll to "Colors" header. By default, custom colors apply to the whole organization. To apply the colors to one location only, select a building in the drop-down menu at the top right.
  2. Select the color value to change. Enter a hex value or select a color in the color picker.
  3. If you want, choose a light or dark background.

Note: These customized status colors not only apply to room displays, but they also apply to spaces on a map and time pills in the web dashboard. The "Available" status color also applies to desk statuses.

To go back to the default values, select Reset.

Show only "booked" or "available" states

To skip the confirmations and show only booked and available states, use the same hex value for both the "In use" and "Booked" states.

This color setting is best for displays that also have Meeting check-ins and Abandoned meeting protection disabled. These room display settings are under the "Display Scheduling" header.
