User Preferred Working Hours

The User Preferred Working Hours setting allows employees to define their default workday start and end times. Once configured, these hours are automatically applied to future desk and resource reservations across Robin surfaces.

This ensures a consistent booking experience and reduces the need to manually adjust time selections for every reservation across Robin.

 

How to Set Your Preferred Working Hours

  1. Navigate to User Settings.
  2. Select the Schedule tab.
  3. Locate the Working Hours section.
  4. Choose your preferred Start Time and End Time.
  5. Save your changes.

Once saved, these hours become your default reservation window.

 

Where Preferred Working Hours Apply

Your configured working hours will automatically populate time pickers in the following areas:

  • Office Map tab (desk and resource bookings)
  • Workweek > Schedule
  • Robin Mobile App
  • Microsoft Teams integration
  • Automatic Desk Booking

When creating a new reservation, the system will default to your selected start and end times.

 

Important Notes

  • These settings apply to future reservations only.
  • Existing bookings will not be modified.
  • You can override the default hours for any individual reservation.
  • Changes take effect immediately after saving.

 

Expected Behavior

If a user sets working hours from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM:

  • New desk reservations will default to 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Automatic desk booking will reserve desks within that window.
  • Time pickers across supported platforms will pre-fill these values.
