To migrate existing calendar events to Robin, put them on a calendar. Robin is not a calendar system, so all scheduled events must live on a calendar to show in Robin apps.
If your office uses Google or Outlook as its calendar system, you most likely do not need to migrate events. The events on your team's Google or Microsoft calendars sync to Robin after you complete the calendar integration and room calendar pairing steps.
Your office may use an unsupported calendar system (any calendar system that is not Google or Outlook), or it may switch from another office management solution. In most cases, you move those existing events to Robin when you export and import the calendar data:
- Export existing calendar events from the old office management solution or calendar system as a CSV or Excel file.
- Import the files into Google or Microsoft room calendars. If you do not have room calendars yet, set them up in Google or Microsoft.
- Connect your Google or Microsoft room calendars to Robin. To set up scheduling correctly, follow the Checklist: Connecting a Google account for scheduling or the Microsoft 365 setup checklist.
Remember that Robin is not a calendar system. Robin syncs event data from your office calendar system to Robin, and from Robin to your calendar system. All events live on Google or Microsoft room calendars. For more details, see About calendar syncing and scheduling in advance.
