How to cancel a room booking - web dashboard

Perhaps you've booked a room you no longer need? This guide walks you through the different ways you can cancel a room booking using the web dashboard. 


Before you start

  • You must be the meeting organizer or a Robin admin to make changes. Default members can't modify other users' meetings.
  • If you're an admin, the easiest way to cancel is from the Meeting Rooms tab on the Schedule page.
  • For meetings created outside Robin (synced events), you need to enable the Edit Synced Events setting in the web dashboard. Synced events have a calendar icon.

How to cancel a room booking

  1. From the web dashboard, select the Schedule page.
  2. Choose your preferred method:

From the Workweek view

  1. Select the Workweek view.
  2. Find and select the meeting on your schedule. This opens the meeting details in the right sidebar.
  3. Select the meeting title to expand the details.
  4. Select the More button.
  5. Select Remove space. (Note, this cancels the room booking, but it doesn't cancel the meeting.) 

From the My Meetings tab

  1. Select the My Meetings tab.
  2. Find the meeting and select the Actions tab (three dots) in the top-right corner of the meeting card.
  3. Select Cancel event from the dropdown menu. If you don't see the option to cancel, you might not be the meeting organizer and will need admin assistance.
  4. Confirm cancellation.

From the Meeting Rooms tab (use this method if you're not the organizer) 

  1. Select the Meeting Rooms tab.
  2. Use the fields at the top to find the meeting you need to cancel.
  3. Select the meeting to open its details.
  4. Click the trash icon in the meeting details module on the right.
  5. Click Delete.
