Assign local office admins

Requirements

  • Advanced Authentication & User Management
  • Global admin

Assign local office admins to share the work of managing your offices. A local office admin is like a global admin, but only for the buildings they manage. If you are a global admin with many locations, you can give each building its own office admin.

What local office admins can do

In the buildings they manage, local office admins can:

  • Manage devices, except arrival displays and badge printers
  • Manage the building, including office hours, floors, spaces and resource policies
  • Assign desks
  • Book, change and cancel desks for other people
  • Assign custom resources
  • Bypass space booking policies, including check-ins for events and meetings
  • Bypass desk booking policies, but not desk check-ins
  • Bypass custom resource booking policies, but not check-ins
  • Approve or deny space and desk requests
  • Manage health checkpoints
  • Invite new members to the organization
  • Manage access passes
  • Manage the daily roster
  • Send announcements
  • Create and manage activities
  • Manage the experience survey, including results
  • Add and edit amenities (for the whole organization)
  • Manage stickers
  • Manage workplace services
  • View and manage deliveries
  • View analytics, but not export them

What local office admins cannot do

Unless you give them custom permissions, local office admins cannot:

  • Manage the organization, themes or integrations
  • Manage groups, roles and permissions
  • Manage visitors
  • Manage arrival displays
  • Manage badge printers
  • Skip desk or custom resource check-ins
  • Export reports in Analytics
  • Manage billing
  • Assign or remove other office admins

Assign a local office admin

You can assign a local office admin to more than one building. A building can have more than one local office admin.

  1. Go to Manage > Offices and select the building.
  2. On the Administration tab, scroll to the Office admins section.
  3. In the search field, enter a person's name or email and select the person. Robin saves the change.

A person's profile also shows the buildings they manage. Look under Permissions > Manages.
