Manage your room displays from the web dashboard. Workplace operators can add a theme, update display settings and manage all the room displays in your offices.
Tip
Use the operations dashboard to prioritize and fix room display problems fast. If you have access, it is in the user profile menu.
Manage your devices
Go to Manage > Devices in the web dashboard to see all your room displays and their status. You see which displays are online and healthy, and which displays no longer report.
To filter the displays by status, select a status above the table. To filter them by building, use the building filter in the Space column.
To see more details about a display, or to remove it, select the link in the Device column. For an unpaired display, the link reads Set up display. It opens the display's details, where you can select Pair display or remove the display. To review or edit the room display settings, go to Manage > Offices and select the space.
Get device notifications
Device notifications send emails to your inbox so you can track your room displays. Admins can sign up to get a notification each time a room display goes offline.
When Robin sends device notifications
Robin sends a device notification when it has not heard from the display for 30 minutes or more. Short connectivity drops that happen from time to time do not count.
Troubleshoot displays that no longer report
A room display stops reporting when it is not paired with a space, or when the display is not online or not connected to power.
Displays that report as "Unpaired"
Robin gives the display a new device ID when you install or reinstall the app. Until you pair it with a space, it shows Unpaired while it reports, Offline when it stops reporting, and No longer in use after 14 days without a report. To pair a display with a space, see Set up your room display.
If you do not plan to reassign these displays, remove them with Clean up devices (the broom icon above the table). The icon shows when you have the Manage devices permission and more than 5 displays are unpaired, no longer in use, or never reported for 14 days or more. If you filter to a building, it counts only that building. To remove an unpaired display, select Set up display, then Remove device.
Room displays that are paired with a space
Check that the display is:
- Connected to the internet.
- Powered up and on.
- Running Robin Rooms version 4.1.2 or later.
Displays that go offline
A display can go offline when its wifi connection drops or when it goes to sleep. If your displays often have trouble staying connected to wifi, see Wifi connectivity problems for Rooms.
Software updates can load an organization's networks and sometimes cause displays to go offline. To keep a display from going to sleep, see:
- Keep your Android device from going to sleep
- Keep your Kindle device from going to sleep
- Keep your iPad from going to sleep
Customize your display and update settings
Admins can update room display settings for an office building or for one room from the web dashboard.
- Go to Manage > Offices.
- Select an office location.
- For the whole building, select the Display settings tab. For one room, select the space.
- Go to the Display scheduling section.
- Use the toggles to set up the settings that work best for your organization.
You can also upload a custom theme and customize booking options and control available buttons.
Edit or delete a display
Edit or delete a display from the space's settings page.
- Scroll past the display settings to Devices.
- Find the display you want to change.
- Hover your mouse over it and select Edit.
- In the pop-up window, edit the display name or delete the display.
After you delete a display from a space, the display is no longer active.
