These Robin updates from the past few months range from detailed resource permissions to a Google Calendar extension that understands your meeting needs.
My Bookings shows all your reservations together
The new Bookings panel shows all your upcoming reservations across your organization. Open it from the Office sidebar or the Robin mobile app. You no longer need to check different screens to find your desk, parking spot or meeting room.
Select the card to see your full reservation list, including:
- Desk bookings
- Parking reservations
- Custom resources
- Your next scheduled event
Find it in the right sidebar of the Office dashboard, or in the Schedule tab of the mobile app. The Teams and Workweek views also show full booking lists.
Collaborator permissions in Scenario Planning
Large floor plans need many people to draft them, but not always many people to publish. The new Collaborator role lets team leaders draft desk assignments but not publish them. This prevents changes from going live too early by mistake.
Use it when teams pick their own desks but workplace teams control the final publish. Collaborators can edit drafts, but only Editors can make changes live. Changes by Collaborators update the draft in real time, so everyone can follow the plan.
To add a Collaborator:
- Open the Share panel in Scenario Planning.
- Enter their name or email.
- Set permissions to "Collaborator".
- Send the invite.
Map filters reduce visual noise
New map layer filters let users show or hide what they need to see:
- Turn avatars on or off to reduce clutter on busy floors.
- Hide or show Points of Interest when you focus on desk availability.
- Switch between pod labels and Neighborhoods.
- Hover over any POI to see its name without selecting it.
Office admins can now see all desk reservations without visual overload. Facilities teams can focus on POIs without avatars in the way. Each person gets the map view that helps them work.
You can also see assignments in the People search next to the Who's In list. This makes it easier to find where teams sit.
Book desks and spaces in Google Calendar
Add the right room to your Google Calendar meetings and book your desk without leaving Google Calendar. The new Robin browser extension adds smart suggestions and quick controls to Google Calendar's full event view.
The extension suggests rooms based on your activity type. It matches spaces to your permissions, availability and fit. If your first choice is not available, see other options or suggested meeting times.
Add more than one space to coordinate larger meetings, then remove or change rooms with one click. You can also book your desk for the day from the same view.
To use it:
- Install the Robin extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- Open any meeting in Google Calendar's full event view.
- Use Robin to book your room and desk.
Permissions for custom resources
Not everyone needs access to the CEO's parking spot or the EV charging stations. Admins can now set permissions for single resources or groups of resources. The right people get access to the right amenities.
Use resource permissions to:
- Assign specific parking spots to executives.
- Limit EV charging spots to authorized employees.
- Manage access to special equipment or premium spaces.
Custom resource reservations also show in Microsoft Teams, so you see all resource bookings in one place.
Neighborhoods on kiosks
Kiosks now fully support Neighborhoods. Users can view and navigate to visible Neighborhoods from any kiosk device. Interactive kiosks keep full desk booking and show the neighborhood structure, so visitors and employees can find their teams more easily.
Mobile app navigation improvements
Robin refreshed the mobile app so you can see what happens at your workplace and manage your day from one place.
Workplace tab is your home base
The Workplace tab is the hub for everything that happens in your office. It shows these cards.
Deliveries card
- Check if you have packages waiting for you.
- See new deliveries as they arrive, so you know when to go to the mailroom.
Announcements card
- Read company and office updates.
- Important messages from workplace teams show here, so you do not miss them.
- NEW: Send quick announcements to your building from the mobile app.
Activities card
- See what happens in the office: events, social activities and other key events.
- Use it to plan the best days to come in and meet your team.
People directory card
- Look up coworkers, see where they sit and see who is in the office.
- Use it to find teammates to work with when you are on-site.
Profile & settings in one place
Robin merged profile settings into user settings to make account management simpler:
- View and update your profile (name, photo and more) and app settings (notifications, preferences) in one area.
- Fewer menus, clearer navigation and a more consistent experience across the app.
Navigation update: Office tab → Map tab
The tab has a new name that better shows what it does:
- The “Office” tab is now called the “Map” tab.
- It works the same: you can still explore your office layout, find desks and spaces and navigate around the workplace.
- See all available parking spots, lockers or custom resources in clear lists, so you do not have to search the map.
Space suggestions on mobile
The same desk & room recommendations from the web now work in the mobile app.
Find another desk faster
If you do not like Robin's suggestion, select the new "Find another" button in the schedule tab. It takes you straight to the map to book again faster.
Avatar control for SCIM accounts
SCIM customers can now choose whether employees can upload or edit their avatars in Robin. The restriction is optional. By default, users can upload avatars.
Some organizations need strict control over profiles, and others want employees to personalize them. Full admin settings for this feature are coming soon. Until then, contact your CSM to stop users from uploading avatars.
